Women Unlimited
Women Unlimited is designed to assist diverse, unemployed and underemployed women explore, prepare for, obtain and maintain employment in the trades and technology fields. Located at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) Lunenburg Campus in Bridgewater, the IT Campus in Halifax, the Akerley Campus in Dartmouth and the Marconi Campus in Sydney, this project is designed to support women to enter trades and technology programs and to find their places in the labour market.
Why Do We Need Women Unlimited?
Women bring new skill sets and abilities to non-traditional job sites … a diverse workforce is a stronger workforce. As well, there is a shortage of skilled workers in these areas. And finally, jobs in these fields are well paid, and in a province where one in five families live in poverty, Women Unlimited can make a difference.
